Whitney A. Goodwin joined the Archaeometry Laboratory at MURR in 2019 as a Senior Research Specialist. Her research focuses on production, exchange, and consumption of ceramics primarily in Mesoamerica and Central America. She has research experience in Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and various locations throughout North America (particularly the northern Great Plains).
Dr. Goodwin was a Fulbright fellow to Honduras in 2016 and her research has been sponsored by the National Geographic Society, the National Science Foundation, and the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
She is co-editor of the recently released volume “Southeastern Mesoamerica: Indigenous Interaction, Resilience, and Change” from the University Press of Colorado.
